Out of the forest came a creature. I stopped the car, and had to take a photo, through my rolled down car window. As soon as the lovely deer heard the camera click, he/she turned around and ran back into the forest.

“I realized that Eastern thought had somewhat more compassion for all living things. Man was a form of life that in another reincarnation might possibly be a horsefly or a bird of paradise or a deer. So a man of such faith, looking at animals, might be looking at old friends or ancestors.”
William Orville Douglas

They are cute critters, glad you got a shot before it ran away. Have a happy day!
Thanks, Eileen.
Your deer has a bambi kind of look. Unlike William Orville Douglas, I can’t even begin to see an ancestor in deer. But nonetheless, they have emotional qualities.
I can’t see any resemblence, either. I just thought the quote was unique.
What a priceless sight!
Thanks, Hannah.
so glad you stopped Lorri… what a beauty!
Thank you, Laura.
Oh pretty deer. I hope it stays out of the road. My Great -Aunt who introduced my sister and I to birds and took us on early morning birding walks believed in reincarnation and told us many stories of what might be… well until my Mother made her stop.. LOL…. (thank you for all the support on my blog..I can feel the good will coming through)… hugs.. Michelle
LOL on your Great-Aunt.
Thanks for commenting.
Hugs and prayers to you.
