Sunday Scenes – March 24, 2013

Curving

This was taken on a walk through the lake and its bird sanctuary, and offshoot streams that lead to the L.A. River. I belong to a walking group, which is nice, because not only do we walk at a decent pace, but we also chatter the time away. We all seem to have a lot in common, which makes it enjoyable.

I am in the middle of reading The Retrospective, by A.B. Yehoshua. I am an avid reader of his works.

  1. Lovely and serene scene. Sounds like another great group you belong to!

  2. Thanks, Hannah. It is a great group, and we walk one weekend morning every week. I walk at the lake three additional days, and through my neighborhood on the other days.

  3. Beautiful spring-like scenes…but they need some snow and I have plenty.. hugs..

  4. Ooh, it looks so tranquil – and warm! We are having such a cold spell here at the moment… I like the idea of a walking group, especially in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you for sharing your view with us!

    • Thank you, Zivah! It is warm here, today, but tomorrow it is supposed to reach the 40s. I know that sounds high, especially for England, but for SoCA, it isn’t. We have had a bizarre weather pattern, one day, literally warm, the next below freezing.

I love the walking group! It is a fun way to walk and talk. LOL.

  5. I think being in a walking group would make the walk much more enjoyable. This is a very pretty scene.

  6. I will be interested to read your response to A.B. Yehoshua’s book. Oh, the stream looks marvelous.
