Birds, Bench and Pond

birds of a feather

We are the earth, made of the same stuff; there is no other, no division between us and “lower” or “higher” forms of being. -Estella Lauder

Our relationship with nature is more one of being than having. We are nature: we do not have nature. -Steven Harper

In order to see birds it is necessary to become part of the silence.

  1. What a treat it is to see your blog again, Lorri! I actually had wondered that I hadn’t seen posts in my Reader feed in such a long time. I’ve been remiss these past couple of months and have been away from my own blog and from those I follow. I enjoy your reviews very much, and you in fact influenced me and a friend in making book choices for a local book club we chaired a couple of years ago.
I too have been reading quite a number of WWII and Holocaust related books in the past year, though I was surprised to notice that I was unfamiliar with most of those on your post. Upon looking back in general at your Historical Novels category, though, I see we have similar tastes in numerous books. Please keep posting! And I’ll make a greater effort on keeping up with my following!
