Orangeness

The above rose is a Jacob’s Ladder Rose.  It is in its semi-open state, not quite a bud, not quite fully revealed.  This particular rose is not the climbing rose, but is the bush.  It sits in an area in front of my home.

I took this photograph fifteen years ago.  What attracted me, and still does, was the vibrancy of the tones.  It spoke to me of vibrancy, enthusiasm, and boldness.   Yet, I also saw a poignant side to it, because of the way the narrow, green stems were positioned, almost reminding me of arms hovering, encircling the innerness.

Have a wonderful week.  Stay safe, and stay well.
