The little sparrow in the photo above, caught its dinner!
I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn. -Henry David Thoreau
I enjoyed watching the American Rosefinch, above, having breakfast. It is not a Purple Finch, although it might seem to be at first glance.
A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song. -Chinese Proverb
The above collage (of older photographs) is my submission for Nature Notes Wednesday. The top left shows a cardinal, the top right shows a black-capped chickadee, the bottom left shows a house finch, and the bottom right shows a squirrel.

I took the above photograph through my living room window.
The above photograph was taken from my patio, while the bird was sitting on a tree branch.
Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.
A bird doesn’t sing because it has an answer, it sings because it has a song.
A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked.

It is time for Our World Tuesday!
While walking through the orange grove and its environs, this morning with my grandies, we came upon this gorgeous Great Egret, day dreaming away!
Within a few moments I was able to capture the lovely winged-one staring down at a turtle, who was looking up at the egret.
They looked like old buddies having a conversation in the beautiful sunlight.
